Sales Tax

Chroma Republic calculates and collects applicable sales tax on orders when required by law.

The amount of tax charged, if any, may depend on factors including the customer’s shipping destination, the products purchased, and applicable state, county, city, or local tax requirements.

Applicable taxes will be calculated and displayed during checkout before the customer completes payment.

Tax rates and requirements may change over time. As a result, the tax charged on similar purchases may differ depending on when and where an order is placed.

United States Orders

For orders shipped within the United States, Chroma Republic collects and remits sales tax in jurisdictions where we are legally required to do so.

If Chroma Republic is not required to collect tax in a particular jurisdiction, no sales tax may be collected at checkout. Customers remain responsible for any tax obligations imposed directly on them by applicable law.

International Orders

Chroma Republic ships to select international destinations.

International orders may be subject to VAT, GST, customs duties, import taxes, brokerage fees, handling charges, or other taxes and fees imposed by the destination country, customs authority, carrier, or other governmental authority.

Unless specifically stated otherwise during checkout, these charges are not included in the product price or Chroma Republic’s shipping charge and may be the responsibility of the recipient.

Chroma Republic does not control or determine charges imposed by foreign customs authorities, governments, or carriers and cannot guarantee the amount, if any, that may be assessed upon importation.

Customers placing international orders are responsible for understanding any applicable import requirements and charges in their destination country.

Customs & Import Charges

International packages may be inspected or processed by customs authorities before delivery.

Customs processing can result in additional charges or delivery delays. These circumstances are outside Chroma Republic’s direct control.

If customs duties, taxes, or other import charges are required before delivery, the customer may be required to pay those charges directly to the applicable authority or carrier.

Refused International Shipments

Refusing an international shipment or failing to pay required customs duties, import taxes, or other applicable charges does not automatically qualify an order for a refund.

Any refund or other resolution for a refused or returned shipment will be handled according to our Refunds & Returns Policy, applicable shipping circumstances, and applicable law.

Tax-Exempt Purchases

Customers requesting a tax exemption or purchasing for resale should contact Chroma Republic before placing an order.

Valid documentation may be required before an exemption can be applied. We cannot guarantee that an exemption can be applied retroactively after an order has been completed.

Refunds & Taxes

If Chroma Republic approves a refund, applicable taxes collected by Chroma Republic will be refunded when required and in accordance with the approved refund amount and applicable law.

Customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage charges, or other fees paid directly to a government, customs authority, carrier, or other third party generally cannot be refunded by Chroma Republic.

Changes to Tax Requirements

Tax laws, rates, thresholds, and collection requirements can change.

Chroma Republic may update its tax collection practices as necessary to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

The taxes displayed and charged at checkout at the time an order is placed will apply to that transaction, subject to any corrections required by law.
